The Catoggio heritage is Italian and German. Francesco Catoggio is the oldest known ancestor on the Catoggio side, born between 1690 and 1720 in Armento, Italy. Michele Catoggio emigrated to New York in 1883. Helen May Catoggio’s mother, Clara Wilhlmina Ritter, was born in Attenberg, Germany on January 22, 1875; she emigrated to New York in 1883.
